Hillside Cottages offers that special something that every vacation needs. If you’re looking for a friendly vacation destination which offers a truly relaxing getaway, then look no further. Close to the shores of Norway Lake in the beautiful Lakes and Highlands of Western Maine, Hillside Cottages are waiting for you. Be careful though…once discovered you may never want to leave!

Choose your perfect day – maybe explore a winding trail along a stream, discover wildlife, take a cruise on the lake, go golfing, sightseeing, relax in front of the fireplace with a game and then go out for dinner in one of the several restaurants in the town.. It will be a day you will always remember.

All cottages are nicely appointed with your comfort in mind. We take pride in having thought of everything you need for a fantastic vacation. Two cottages, Ross and McLeod, offer a master bedroom with incorporated whirlpool tub and beautiful queen bed. The MacIntyre Cottage offers accommodation for four adults with a queen sofa bed available in the living room and a fully fitted kitchen. Our Young Cottage has been adapted to allow wheelchair access. It has wider doors and more internal space. It also has access to kitchen and bathroom sinks. There is a bath with several grab handles to assist in entering and exiting. There is a bath seat available on request. This cottage also has a twin sofa bed and is pet friendly.

New for 2022 we have added a pod Munro with whirlpool tub. It can accommodate 2 adults. Also, Arran our travel trailer can accommodate 4 adults and 2 small children. They have the same facilities as our other accommodations.

All four Cottages have fully equipped kitchens, radiant heating, and Wi-Fi as well as cosy fireplaces and individual outdoor decks.

It is important for your pets to enjoy a vacation too; they are regarded as part of the family after all. So, our Young Cottage is pet friendly. There is no better place to relax with your dog than here at Hillside Cottages. With endless woodland and hill walks in the vicinity as well as beautiful beaches on which to run free, this is a perfect playground for pooches!

We appreciate that we have a slightly steep drive at the Cottages. We recommend that guests have a four-wheel drive during your visit in the winter months to ensure you safely negotiate the drive. We do have it plowed and sanded but its Maine.

All our cottages offer a little Scottish flair along with:

Total control electric heating from radiant heating throughout the cottage.

The fireplace in living area for cosy nights in the winter evenings.

Wi-Fi, Roku TV and telephone.

Individual patio with garden furniture.

Duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels.

Kitchen towel and bin liners.

Fully equipped kitchen with electric hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge freezer .MacIntyre & Arran have ovens

Washing-up-liquid, cleaning products, a couple of toilet rolls and hand soap.just to welcome you.

Air conditioning for those hot summer days and nights.

Hairdryer, (ironing board and iron on request).

Cot bed can be requested (additional charge).
