Where do you get silicon in Starbound? ›

The Silicon Board is a crafting material primarily used in crafting electronics and crafting stations. It is made at an atomic furnace.

The largest mod for Starbound, FrackinUniverse combines new biomes, a completely overhauled crafting system, science, research, monsters, tiles and hundreds of other assets to the game. Nearly every major game system is changed.

Carbon is apart of the Frackin Universe and is found in the ground randomly. (I found one as soon as I spawned in) It looks like an ore and is colored grey. You can put 50 coal or one diamond in the extractor to get some carbon. I think it's 10 coal for 1 carbon in FU, it's pretty easy to get.

The basic process for producing silicon has remained unchanged for decades: quartz or gravel (SiO2) is blended with a carbon source and superheated in a submerged arc furnace. As the mix heats, the carbon reacts with the oxygen in the quartz and forms CO gas, thereby reducing the quartz to 99% silicon in molten form.

Prisons tend to be on volcanic planets. You'll sometimes randomly find human camps on planets, it seems that human camps are more likely to be found on cold planets. non-hostile humans are found in human campsites, as Grave Accent said. It's much easier to build a basic colony and fill it with humans.

Critters cannot be captured using capture pods, although they could during the early release. Instead, a Relocator is required to capture them. Using this tool, the player can teleport up to three critters into the Relocator, then carry them safely and place them back into a world at a later time.

They need to be crafted at the special crafting station in the outpost/space station, provided you have the materials and blueprints. If you mean the salvaged parts, they can't be crafted. You have to find them in space encounters. A lot of the stuff, without mods, needs to be salvaged from space (ships or anomalies).

Not infinite, but even if you spent just 1 second on each planet and spend zero time midflight, or on the loading screen and also make no time for eating, sleeping or biobreak and you were to live for 100 more years... you still wouldn't be able to visit all planets in your lifetime.

Theoretically, there is an infinite number of planets, limited only by hardware constraints. Every universe is generated by the same algorithm, hence the coordinates work for separate installs. There are at least 12 quadrillion possible planets. There are a lot of coordinate seeds to feed the RNG.

Silicon Ore is a pre-Hardmode ore found naturally generated in the Ocean and Sulphurous Sea in small patches. It can be mined with any pickaxe and is used to make Mysterious Circuitry. It is also dropped from Silicic Slimes.
